I glanced up as my daughter walked in the room. "Hi l-Juliet, what have you done to your hair?!

"I, uh, dyed it." Juliet replied, self-conciously tugging at her raven-black hair.

"But why?! You have such beautiful blonde hair..."

She rolled her eyes in a typical teenage fashion. "Because, Mom. I needed a change. Besides, now I look more like Alex."

Alex is her twin brother. Not being identical to his sister, Alex has hair so dark brown it looked black. Juliet, meanwhile, has-or had-blonde ringlets and amber eyes. "I thought you didn't want to be identical."

MDM Chpt. 4Days later...

The coffin was elm. The polished finish shone.

Like her eyes, thought Gabe.

His eyes stung. He hadn't cried, not since the wedding. He thought he'd let it all out then. He held her and cried, her warmth slowly fading...

Without quite knowing how, he was standing in their room. Everything was still in boxes.
One box, however, was open. Gabe kneeled down next to it. Inside was a framed photo of he and Natalie on their first date.

And--a letter? With his name on it? In her handwriting?

If you're reading this, I know something bad must've happened...or you just happened to find this letter in my stuff and I'm alive and

The groomsmen and the groom himself rushed out. "Natalie!" Gabe cried. He lifted her up and brought her inside. "Someone call 911!" shouted Jen. "Everyone inside," commanded Seth (Gabe's best man). He pointed to the ground where Natalie had fallen. There, hissing and writhing, was a deadly Inland Taipan snake.

MDM Chpt. 2A few years later...

"You may kiss the bride."

The words rang out in the chapel as Gabe and Natalie kissed, he in a black tuxedo, and she in a flowing white gown.

Ever since their first date, they had not left each others' sides. And now they never would.

The newlyweds were spinning around on the dance floor, dancing to their favorite song, "Run Away With Me" sung by Aaron Tveit, with their family and friends watching.

Romeo is calling for Juliet, ready, set, you're ready let's go...anywhere...

"Say the word and I'm already there," whispered Gabe into his wife's ear. Natalie grinned.
